Discord Easter Eggs: 18 Secrets That Still Work in 2026

Discord still hides a surprising number of easter eggs in its 2026 app, from a ringtone that plays once in a thousand calls to a Street Fighter super move you trigger with five keys. Here are all 18 we found, how to trigger each one, and which ones quietly stopped working.

Every item below was checked on October 3, 2026, in Discord's web app and its 2026 client code, and against Discord's own Help Center. Discord updates its app several times a week, so we note where a secret depends on an event, a platform or a lucky roll.

The 1-in-1,000 rare Discord ringtone

Every time someone calls you, Discord rolls a number from 1 to 1,000. If it lands on 500, you hear one of two rare ringtones instead of the normal one: a remixed beat, or Discord's arrangement of the Love Live! song "Snow Halation".

The catch: it only rolls on the Classic sound pack. Retro, Bop, Ducky, Lofi, ASMR, Discodo and the seasonal packs each use their own ringtone with no rare roll. Discord even admits it in one of its loading-screen tips, which promises a very small chance of a secret ringtone and wishes you good luck.

Discodo: click the Discord logo 16 times

Click the Discord home button (the logo at the top of your server list) 16 times quickly. Discord plays a short jingle, and from then on it plays that jingle every time the app finishes loading. Click 16 more times to turn it off. Some older guides say 15 clicks, but the 2026 code counts 16.

The Halloween 2026 sound pack

From October 7 to November 2, 2026, the desktop app adds a Halloween sound pack, a spooky loading spinner and 13 Halloween loading lines, including one that checks your servers aren't haunted. It's an event, so expect it to disappear in November.

Keyboard Combos: Discord Discord Revolution, Raging Demon and Wumpus

Press Ctrl + / to open Discord's Keyboard Combos window, the list of every shortcut. Its subtitle tells you to master these to become the greatest Discord Discord Revolution player, and it means it: three secret combos work while this window is open.

The Raging Demon is a nod to Akuma's famous super move from Street Fighter, right down to the 天 symbol that ends it. The Wumpus panel, titled "Chats can be a lot", is more than a joke: Discord can also offer the same breathing break during an inappropriate conversation.

Secrets hidden inside the Discord app

The hidden Memory Lane theme

Open User Settings, then Appearance, then Color Themes, and choose Preview Theme. Click every color theme in order, from first to last. A sparkling extra theme called Memory Lane appears after Blurple Twilight, using Discord's old 2015 to 2021 blurple (#7289DA). Previewing it works without Nitro; keeping a color theme needs Discord Nitro.

BEYOND GODLIKE: the username copy combo

Open anyone's profile and click their username. It copies, and the tooltip says "Copied!". Keep clicking and it escalates: Double Copy, Triple Copy, Dominating, Rampage, Mega Copy, Unstoppable, Wicked Sick, Monster Copy, GODLIKE, and finally BEYOND GODLIKE!!!!. If those sound familiar, they're the kill-streak callouts from Unreal Tournament.

The boost Wumpus (1 hover in 50)

When someone boosts a server, Discord posts a message with a pink gem. Hover the gem and it throws confetti. One hover in 50, something else happens: a Wumpus sticker peels in from a corner of the screen.

The Empathy Banana (1 search in 20)

Search a server for something that doesn't exist. Usually Discord says it searched far and wide. One empty search in 20, you get "No results found. Empathy banana is here for you." instead, with a banana for company.

Discord easter eggs outside the app

Nelly's 404 noodle shop and Discord Snek

Visit any page on discord.com that doesn't exist and you land on a noodle-shop illustration that asks if you took a wrong turn. The character is Nelly, a robot hamster, according to Discord's own loading tips. On that page, type the Konami code (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A) to start Discord Snek, a full snake game.

robots.txt, humans.txt and printer.discord.com

• discord.com/robots.txt ends by blocking one crawler by name: the NSA.
• discord.com/humans.txt is an ASCII-art Discord logo.
• printer.discord.com redirects to a song on YouTube instead of a printer.

The hidden colon in the developer docs

On the Rate Limits page of Discord's developer docs, one colon in the text is a link. It leads to a fan page that counts how long you've been "rate-limited" while music plays, so turn your volume down first.

Discord's own loading-screen trivia

The "Did you know" lines on Discord's loading screen include its own history: Discord was almost called Bonfire, or Wyvern, and Nitro was invented over breakfast potatoes. One line only shows in English: most Discord users voted pineapple on pizza the most cursed food combo.

Hidden Discord features you'll actually use

These aren't jokes, but most people never find them. They're the shortcuts that make Discord faster every day.

In the Quick Switcher, start your search with * for servers, @ for people, # for text channels or ! for voice channels. And press Tab to enter Keyboard Mode: with a message focused, R replies, + reacts, E edits, P pins and Q quotes. Old Discord easter eggs that no longer work

A lot of lists online still repeat secrets that are gone. As of October 2026:

• The username copy combo no longer works on your own account panel, which now opens a popout. It moved to profile popouts.
• The "this insanity" link in Notifications settings is gone.
• The /roll-dice command still exists in the code, but it's labeled pre-alpha and switched off.
• POGGERMODE, with its combo counter and screen shake, is still in the code but disabled by Discord.
