    Discord role icons guide

    Role icons are small images shown next to a member's name in chat and the member list. They make staff, ranks, donors and game roles recognizable at a glance, and a coordinated pack gives the whole server a polished, professional look.

    What size are Discord role icons?

    Discord recommends square role icons of at least 64 × 64 pixels, under 256 KB, in PNG or JPG. Our packs include transparent 64 × 64 PNGs ready to upload, and some products add high-resolution files and editable Photoshop sources.

    How do I add role icons in Discord?

    • Your server needs Boost Level 2 to unlock role icons.
    • Open Server Settings, then Roles, and choose a role.
    • In the Display tab, upload an icon under Role Icon and save.
